A primary advantage of Overnight Camp is that children have more time to adjust to their surroundings and get comfortable while honing their learning and growing. They go through a range of recreational and educational activities throughout the day. With more time to spend on particular interests\, overnight camps also provide a chance for children to become more independent by being away from family and teach them more responsibility for themselves and for others. \nKeeping in view the importance of camps\, Delhi Public School\, Srinagar\, organised an overnight camp for Class 2nd on August 9th and 10th\, 2024. \nOn August 9th\, the students arrived at school in their usual buses\, eager for the adventure that awaited them. With the promise of a night under the stars and the company of their classmates\, the children were excited to embrace the experience. They enjoyed a day and night full of engaging activities that were both fun-filled and thoughtfully supervised\, allowing them to enjoy their time away from home while learning valuable lessons. The camp began with a welcome assembly that included a puppetry show by teachers\, which highlighted the importance of following instructions during the camp. The homerooms organised activities such as singing\, fun games\, and dancing\, ensuring every child was actively involved. Art activities were also a highlight\, with students creating pinwheels and colouring tyres. After lunch\, the students enjoyed a refreshing swim in the splash pool\, which was a delightful and much-anticipated activity. In the evening\, they took part in various sports activities\, where their energy and enthusiasm were on full display. \nThe evening’s highlight was undoubtedly the bonfire\, where students joyfully danced and moved to the rhythm of upbeat music. \nThroughout the camp\, the children were treated to delicious meals and snacks\, which they eagerly enjoyed. \nThe camp came to a close on the morning of August 10\, 2023\, with a gentle workout followed by a rejuvenating breakfast.
