DPS Srinagar hosts friendly football match in collaboration with Real Kashmir FC
DPS Srinagar in association with Real Kashmir football club hosted a friendly football match between two girl teams DPS Girls Team vs Real Kashmir Woman’s team with an aim of promoting girl power. The theme of the match was “SHE POWER”.
Maj Gen Raju Chauhan, GOC, 31 Sub Area, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The event was also attended by large number of locals, parents, staff and school children. All Covid-19 related preventive precautions were followed during the whole event.
The match was won by Real Kashmir by a margin of 4-1. Commenting on the match Shafaq Afshan Vice Principal said, “As a woman it gives me immense pride to see girls compete with such talent and finesse”. The Chairman Vijay Dhar congratulated the teams and said “The school is committed to girl power and women empowerment, as well as development of sports in the valley. We will leave no step unturned for it”.
