Celebrating Spring

10-03-16

Early morning students arrived with zest and excitement because the message about the trip to Badamawari was unfolded to them through campus manager the previous day. They were briefed about the place in class and then soon the students walked towards their respective buses that were distinct with their class and sections. All the students walked in good poise and discipline towards their relevant buses and on the way to Badamwari their respective teachers showed them the Makhdoom Sahib Shrine, Hari Parbat, Kathi Darwaza and Chatthi Padshahi. As they entered the garden one could see their little faces blossom like the badam phly with smiles and exhilaration. As their teachers walked the students towards the inside of the garden the students were shown the different shapes of flower beds, the temple there, the Allah sculpture, the snow capped mountains. As we move ahead in the park, the students saw the back waters of the Dal and the Shahr-e-Khaas towards the end of the sphere. Students also saw the Badam trees and teachers told them how the badam blossoms first and then the leaves appear. Unlike the other trees where we find leaves first. Then the students were seated in a circular group and asked to have their lunch. By the end of the day all the students were happy but exhausted and the teachers took them to their respective buses to be driven back to school. This is the beginning of the school year where we hope to combine fun with learning through observation. This excursion will be followed by a worksheet to ascertain what they learned during this visit. This wonderful and fruitful day for the students as well as the teachers also brought them close to one another.
