Grade 1 organizes Orientation Programme
An orientation program was held for the parents of Grade 1 on 31st March, 2018 at Delhi Public School, Srinagar. The motive behind the orientation program was acquaint parents with the proper acquaintance with the curriculum. Parents were also made familiar with the teaching schedule, methodology and allied domains.
The session started with a welcome note by Ms. Radifa Khan, I/C Academics Tiny Tots. She laid stress on the holistic development of the child that is the aim and intention of the institution. In addition to that she said that working on a child and working with a child demands teachers and parents work hand in hand. Only thus can the overall development of an individual be ensured.
Then, Ms. Rehana Gul, I/C Academics Class 1 and 2 briefed parents about the guidelines and the pattern of examination. Moreover, parents were made aware about changes in the framework and modes of evaluation.
The subject teachers also gave a brief overview of the various subjects like languages (English, Urdu and Hindi), Math, Environmental Science. Various co-scholastic activities were also discussed which assured them that the curriculum involves self-directed, hands- on learning activities to aid their multi-faceted development of the child. The respective teachers gave detailed information to the learning parameters and stressed upon the innovative teaching learning methodologies followed.
Towards the conclusion the counselor Ms. Nadia Nehvi detailed about the proper guidance of a child for personality development in school and back at home. The program concluded with a query session where parental doubts were duly cleared.
