Rangoli session held at school
A session of ‘Rangoli drawing’ was held at the school across the board as a creative activity to boost students. The students participated wholeheartedly in the activity, and enjoyed it wholeheartedly. The activity aims to develop a sense of caring, team spirit and above all an awareness of creating. Children also helped the attendants to clean the class rooms. This activity not only enhanced the sense of competition, but also inculcated a sense of responsibility as they have to study in the same classrooms and protect these Rangolis from getting messed up.
To appreciate and boost the emotional expressions of Rangoli art, we have assessed all the designs and selected three best designs from each class. Children have put a lot of effort to create these designs, and very interesting observation of this activity was that for the first time children have preserved these designs for three days. This response, support and cooperation from the students as well as teachers prefigure the success of further activities.
