DPS Srinagar Students excel at the UT Level Pencak Silat Championship 2024
We are delighted to share that students from Delhi Public School, Srinagar have made us proud by their outstanding achievements at the UT Level Pencak Silat Championship 2024, held from September 21st to 23rd at the Indoor Hall Polo Ground, Srinagar.
Students from DPS, Srinagar demonstrated remarkable talent, sportsmanship and determination, playing a pivotal role in helping the Jammu & Kashmir team, secure the top rank in the competition. Out of 1,000 participants from different districts, six of our students also participated out of which the following students brought laurels to the school:
Allishba Jeelani earned a prestigious Gold. Mehreen Aashiq secured a Silver. Nehal Zubair and Aisha Yatoo were awarded Bronze medals.
Their hard work and dedication have truly brought honour to the school and exemplified their commitment to achieving their goals.
The three-day event, organized by the Pencak Silat Association of J&K and supported by the J&K Sports Council, saw participants competing in various age groups. The best performers from this event will now have the opportunity to represent the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir at the National level later this year.
Ms. Shafaq Afshan, Principal of DPS Srinagar, congratulated the students on their outstanding success and expressed her best wishes for their continued achievements in future competitions.
