Drop Everything and Read: A Moment for Books
Delhi Public School observed the “Drop Everything and Read” initiative on 16th April, 2025, as part of its academic calendar. The school community came together to celebrate the joy of reading in a dedicated session that encouraged students and staff to pause their daily tasks and engage meaningfully with books.
For a designated time, the usual buzz of the school quieted down as everyone picked up a book of their choice and dove into the world of stories, knowledge, and imagination. The atmosphere in the Learning Resource Centre was serene and focused, with students and teachers reading side by side, celebrating the power of the written word.
The objective of this school-wide activity was to nurture consistent reading habits, enhance focus, and remind everyone of the joy that books bring. It was a simple yet impactful way to promote literacy and reflection in a calm, engaging environment.
“Drop Everything and Read” was not just a scheduled event—it was a meaningful experience that resonated with readers of all ages. The Learning Resource Centre remains committed to supporting such initiatives that strengthen the school’s reading culture.
