On August 6, 2025, a group of visually impaired students from the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) of Delhi Public School, Srinagar, visited the Allama Iqbal Library at the University of Kashmir. The purpose of the visit was to acquaint students with inclusive academic resources and modern assistive technologies available for visually impaired learners.

During the visit, the students explored a wide range of Braille books, experienced the functionality of DAISY players, and gained hands-on knowledge about screen reader software such as JAWS. These interactions provided them with valuable insights into how technology can empower their academic journey.

The library staff extended a warm welcome and engaged the students in enriching conversations about the importance of inclusive education. The visit not only broadened the students’ understanding of accessible learning tools but also served as a motivating and inspiring experience.
