- Mariya Wani – CMO
- Ibrahim Wani – CFO
Special acknowledgment also goes to Minhaj Hussain and Esha Shahdar, along with the larger team that supported AgroSenTech through the process. Their combined efforts brought great pride to the school and to the Valley.
The LEAD Company of the Year initiative, conducted by tGELF/JA India in collaboration with Junior Achievement Worldwide (JAWW) and JA Asia Pacific, aims to nurture entrepreneurial thinking and workplace readiness among students. Over the course of the year, participants were expected not only to conceptualise and build a product but also to establish a functioning student company.
The competition progressed through four demanding phases:
- Initiate (April 2025): planning, design, and team formation
- Implement (April–October 2025): product development and execution
- Regional Rounds: AgroSenTech qualified from a pool of nearly 48 schools from across India
- National Finals: Only 12 schools reached this stage, where AgroSenTech won the Best Use of Technology title
Reflecting on the achievement, Principal, Ms Shafaq Afshan, said:
“This victory is special. It shows how passion, discipline, and imagination can achieve real results. AgroSenTech represents the kind of entrepreneurship we want to see in our students—responsible, aware, and rooted in service to society.”
Chairman, Mr Vijay Dhar, congratulated the team, saying:
“Our students have made Kashmir and DPS Srinagar proud at a national platform. They have shown that excellence is not confined by geography. AgroSenTech is a reminder of the deep talent our young people carry, and we are delighted by their success.”
For AgroSenTech, the journey has been long and demanding. Throughout 2025, the students worked steadily—researching, testing, revising, and learning from failure. The company does not simply aim to win awards; it seeks to contribute to the agricultural future of Kashmir by blending technology with local knowledge.
The school community celebrates this achievement with warmth and admiration. AgroSenTech’s success stands as an encouraging testament to what determined young people can achieve when given space, support, and belief.
We congratulate the entire team and wish them continued growth and achievement in the years ahead.
