Delhi Public School bags the Best Speaker award at Nano Nagle
The Nano Nagle Debate Tournament was recently organized at Presentation Convent Higher Secondary School on Saturday, June 10th. This debate tournament is held annually to promote critical thinking and public speaking skills. This year’s tournament witnessed a spirited and engaging debate on the topic of “Book Smarts vs Street Smarts”. The competition brought together students from various schools, fostering intellectual growth and providing a platform for students to showcase their oratory skills.
The debate competition witnessed a high level of participation from ten renowned schools in the region, contributing to the event’s success. Students from Delhi Public School Khalid Khursheed and Sauliha khan, along with their counterparts from other schools, presented thought-provoking arguments and exhibited exceptional eloquence throughout the competition. The participants displayed their ability to think critically, analyze situations, and articulate their viewpoints effectively.
The event comprised a round of opening statement, and a closing statement, allowing participants to showcase their comprehensive understanding of the given topic. The competition showcased the academic prowess and public speaking skills of the students, making it an intellectually stimulating event for both the participants and the audience.
After careful evaluation by the esteemed panel of judges, Delhi Public School Srinagar emerged as the winner of the Best Speaker award presented to Sauliah Khan. Our students delivered a remarkable performance, exhibiting a deep understanding of the topic and presented compelling arguments with persuasive reasoning. The winner’s ability to engage the audience and present a well-structured and coherent argument earned them this prestigious accolade.
Additionally, the students of DPS Srinagar exhibiting their exceptional performance won the runner-up award. The participants showcased exceptional speaking skills, critical thinking, and a commendable ability to present a balanced perspective on the topic.
