Delhi Public School Srinagar is elated to announce its exceptional performance in the recently concluded inter-school zonal level badminton competition organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at Burn Hall School Srinagar. Our school’s talented players exhibited remarkable skills and determination, securing an impressive tally of 3 gold medals and 1 silver medal across various age categories.

The highly competitive event witnessed the participation of numerous schools, with Delhi Public School Srinagar emerging as one of the strongest contenders. Showcasing outstanding sportsmanship and unparalleled talent, our team advanced to the finals and achieved remarkable victories, culminating in a triumphant performance against their opponents.

Salman Khurshid from 8th grade clinched the gold medal in the under-17 boys’ singles category, displaying exceptional skills and defeating Biscoe School in straight sets. Mujtaba Ashaq and Issa Farooq, both from 9th grade, formed an unbeatable duo and secured the gold medal in the under-17 boys’ doubles category. They showcased exemplary teamwork, defeating Linton Hall School in straight sets. Mohd Ibrahim, a skilled player from 6th grade, exhibited commendable performance and clinched the silver medal in the under-14 boys’ singles category. Despite a valiant effort, he narrowly lost to Burn Hall School.
