
DPS Srinagar Achieves National Glory at Pencak Silat Championship
In a moment of exceptional pride, the martial arts team of Delhi Public School Srinagar has delivered a triumphant performance at the 13th National Pencak Silat Championship 2025. Held from September 26th to 28th in Koppal, Karnataka, this prestigious tournament saw our students rise to the occasion with unparalleled spirit and skill.
Our formidable contingent of five students showcased extraordinary talent and unwavering resolve on the national stage. Their dedication culminated in a spectacular haul of five medals—two golds, one silver, and two bronzes, a testament to their rigorous training and competitive spirit.
The champions who have brought immense laurels to the school are:
- Adan Parvaz (Class 10th) – Gold Medal
- Mehreen Ashiq (Class 10th) – Gold Medal
- Safa Nisar (Class 5th E) – Silver Medal
- Mariyam (Class 6th E) – Bronze Medal
- Anvi Raina (Class 4th A) – Bronze Medal
Principal, Ms. Shafaq Afshan, lauded the students’ monumental achievement, stating, “Their performance is a reflection of their incredible discipline and the high standards of sportsmanship we cherish.
