Delhi Public School, Srinagar marked a proud sporting achievement at the 31st National Junior Thang-Ta Championship 2025. The championship was held at the National Sarusojai Sports Stadium in Guwahati, Assam, from December 22 to 24, 2025. Students from 26 states across India participated in the event, making it a highly competitive platform. Despite the challenging field, the DPS Srinagar contingent delivered an outstanding performance securing two silver medals from a team of three participants.

Medal Winners

Aaminah Irfan — Silver Medal
Class 12 (S1)

Aaminah claimed the silver medal in the Junior Girls –70 kg (Style II) category after winning three successive bouts, before finishing runner-up to the participant from Tripura in the gold-medal contest. Her performance reflected exceptional control, technique, and composure under pressure.

Fatima Irfan — Silver Medal
Class 11 (S4)

Fatima earned silver in the Junior Girls –65 kg (Style I) category, displaying resilience and a strong competitive spirit throughout the championship. She concluded the tournament as runner-up to the finalist from Manipur.

Notable Participation

Munaza Aira — Class 9 (G)

Munaza competed with determination and skill, contributing significantly to the school’s representation. Although she did not secure a medal, her participation remains praiseworthy.
