DPS Srinagar Shines at National Badminton Tournament in Hyderabad
The badminton team of Delhi Public School Srinagar has delivered a commendable performance at the prestigious DPS National Badminton Tournament, held from September 22nd to 24th at DPS Nacharam, Hyderabad. The event was a massive gathering of talent with nearly 40 DPS schools from across the country participating.
Our players showcased exceptional skill and determination on the court, making significant headway in both the singles and doubles categories against formidable opponents.
In the singles category, our shuttlers displayed remarkable form, advancing confidently to the quarterfinals. Their journey included decisive victories over teams from DPS Nagpur, Ahmedabad, and Vasant Kunj. In the quarterfinal match, they demonstrated immense resilience and sportsmanship in a closely contested fight against DPS Dehradun.
In the doubles category, the team fought valiantly to progress to the pre-quarterfinals after securing a solid win against DPS Whitefield. They faced a challenging match against a strong DPS Mumbai team in the subsequent round, concluding their impressive run in the tournament.
The overall performance of our players was truly outstanding. Their dedication, competitive spirit, and the grace with which they represented our school on a national stage are a source of great pride. The experience gained from competing at such a high level is invaluable.
