Delhi Public School Srinagar takes great pride in the outstanding performance of its students at the 34th Kashmir Open Badminton Tournament, held at S.K.I.S.C, Gogji Bagh, Srinagar, from 14th to 17th February 2026.

Demonstrating remarkable skill, determination and sportsmanship, the students delivered an impressive performance and secured a total of four Gold medals and two Silver medals across different age categories. Their achievements reflect the dedication and competitive spirit nurtured within the school’s sporting environment.

The medal winners are as follows:

  • Yahya Ajaz (Class VI) – Gold Medal, Under 11
  • Mohamad Saad (Class IV) – Silver Medal, Under 11
  • Yahya Ajaz (Class VI) – Gold Medal, Under 13
  • Nabeel Ahmad (Class VIII) – Silver Medal, Under 13
  • Inaaya Raafi Baba (Class VII) – Gold Medal, Under 13
  • Issa Farooq (Class XI) – Gold Medal, Under 19

Congratulating the young athletes, Principal Ms. Shafaq Afshan remarked, “These achievements reflect the dedication, perseverance and sporting spirit of our students. We are proud of the way they have represented the school and brought honour to the institution.”

Chairman Mr. Vijay Dhar also applauded the students and said, “Success in sports builds confidence, discipline and resilience. Our students have once again demonstrated that commitment and hard work lead to excellence. We congratulate them and wish them continued success.”
