Momin Mansoor selected as Vice-captain of Under-19 North Zone team
We feel previleged and honoured at DPS, Srinagar to announce that our class 12th student Momin Mansoor Lone has been selected by Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association, Srinagar to represent J&K State as Vice Captian in Under 19 Vinoo Mankad Cricket Tournament. Selection committee was headed by Mr. Wajahat Ahmad. Momin has brought laurels to the school by being selected as Vice Captain.
The talanted teenager has credited his success to his coach and parents. “My teacher and coach Mudasir Bashir is responsible for my success. Also I would like to add that my parents unending support is also a reason for my success.
After continuous hardwork at school campus and one month’s trials at Sher-i-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, Lone was selected for U-19 North Zone Cricket Team. A total of hundred players competed, out of which 16 got selected for U-19 North Zone Cricket Team.
If Momin qualifies the test matches to be played in November this year for North Zone, he has bright chances of representing India in U-19 World Cup.
