Muskan Shafat selected for IVY League College
In a first for the valley, DPS Srinagar has created history. It is sponsoring the first ever Kashmiri student – Muskaan Shafat, a girl student of Class 12th for admission in the highly sought summer programme of Stanford University, US. The course invites applications every year for the programmes and students are selected after a very rigorous selection process of the highest international standards. The university is one of the most prestigious institutes of the world, a part of the highly sought Ivy League schools. Stanford Summer Session includes the most sought-after courses from departments in the schools of Humanities and Sciences, Earth Sciences, and Engineering. The students get to choose from more than 170 courses in 40 departments. The students get free access to the academic advising and tutoring at the Summer Academic Resource Center (SARC). Tutoring sessions focus on the undergraduate courses being offered in Summer Quarter, and tutors facilitate a large number of weekly drop-in group tutoring sessions in a wide range of subject areas, as well as specialized academic workshops based on students’ needs. DPS Srinagar takes great pride in the achievement of Muskan Shafat.
