Campfire Stories and Creative Sparks: Grade 3’s Unforgettable Night

Delhi Public School Srinagar’s Grade 3 students participated in a memorable overnight camp held on the 4th and 5th of August 2025, where creativity, physical activity, and camaraderie combined to create lasting memories. The camp commenced with a soulful prayer and uplifting choir songs, establishing a calm and positive atmosphere for the day. Following this peaceful beginning, the students engaged enthusiastically in an energetic Zumba session, which invigorated both their bodies and spirits.

After a short refreshment break, the children took part in a creative art activity that helped stimulate their imagination. Using egg cartons, they crafted unique art pieces, expressing their ideas and emotions through vibrant colors and shapes. This creative energy seamlessly transitioned into circle time games that encouraged laughter, boosted confidence, and fostered meaningful peer connections. A nutritious lunch provided a welcome break for rest and rejuvenation.

The afternoon was filled with engaging and diverse activities. The children enjoyed a refreshing swimming session marked by joyful laughter, followed by a nature-inspired cardboard craft that nurtured their curiosity and appreciation for the environment as they incorporated natural elements such as twigs, leaves, and pebbles. After snacks, the day continued with spirited sports activities that promoted healthy competition and teamwork.

As evening fell, the students gathered around a glowing campfire beneath the starry sky. This highlight of the camp featured singing, storytelling, and dancing, which deepened friendships and created joyful moments. The day concluded with a wholesome dinner that brought the magical evening to a satisfying close.

The following morning began with invigorating exercise to awaken and energize the group. After a hearty breakfast, the students prepared to return home, their hearts filled with happiness and their minds enriched by new experiences. Beyond the enjoyment and learning, the camp cultivated independence and responsibility, as each child practiced self-care, made thoughtful decisions, and confidently adapted to the new environment away from home.
