The overnight camp for DPS Srinagar Class 3 students was a well-rounded and enriching experience designed not only to offer a break from the usual routine but also impart valuable life lessons. The camp kicked off serenely with a prayer led by teachers, setting a peaceful and spiritual tone for the day ahead. A warm welcome song and a mix of lively music created an atmosphere of unity and excitement among the participants. The day began with an art activity that allowed students to explore their artistic talents, turning small stones into beautiful fruits and vegetables and creating a fruit basket , fostering a sense of accomplishment.

Following the art activity, students were ushered into the AV room for a lively music session. Led by enthusiastic facilitators, the session quickly transformed into a joyful celebration of music. Students eagerly participated, singing along to their favorite tunes and showcasing their musical talents.

Following the music session, an engaging storytelling session was conducted by the English faculty. The story captivated the audience and served to enhance the students’ presence of mind. It was a delightful experience as students actively listened, contributing to a lively exchange of ideas and imagination.

During breaks for refreshments and lunch, students not only nourished their bodies but also formed bonds with their peers, laying the groundwork for lasting friendships.

Throughout the day, students participated in a variety of games organized by their respective Homeroom Teachers (HRTs) .These activities encouraged teamwork, strategy, and healthy competition, promoting physical fitness and instilling vital life skills such as sportsmanship and perseverance. Swimming sessions provided a refreshing respite from the sun and an opportunity for students to conquer fears and improve their swimming skills.

Post-swimming, the students gathered for a unique patchakatha session conducted by the Kashmiri faculty. This session was a cultural treat, filled with traditional story and folklore that fascinated the students. Laughter echoed throughout as everyone immersed themselves in the rich tapestry of Kashmiri tales, making it an unforgettable experience.

In the Evening, the campfire created a magical ambiance with songs and laughter, strengthening the bond among students from diverse backgrounds who came together as a close-knit community. Even after dinner, the excitement continued with more singing and games, fostering deeper connections between teachers and students and building trust and mutual understanding. The night concluded with laughter and engaging games, solidifying friendships and creating lasting memories.

As the sun rose on a new day, a rejuvenating morning walk amidst the tranquility of nature and muscle-relaxing exercises refreshed the spirits of the students. These activities emphasized the importance of physical well-being and connection with the natural world, leaving the students revitalized. As they prepared to depart, students carried not only their belongings but also a newfound appreciation for their peers, a sense of self-discovery, and a treasure trove of memories that they would cherish throughout their lives.
