A Vibrant Celebration of Achievement: Highlights from the LRC’s Second Annual Day at Delhi Public School
The Learning Resource Centre (LRC) at Delhi Public School held its Second Annual Day celebration on July 26, 2024. The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Principal Ms. Shafaq Afshan, Chairman Mr. Vijay Dhar, and Chief Guest Mr. Vikas Dhar. The celebration commenced with a lively clap dance, setting an energetic tone for the afternoon.
The program featured a variety of performances. It began with a vibrant dance celebrating the Eid festival, followed by a thought-provoking play focused on environmental conservation, emphasizing the importance of a safe and healthy environment. Next, a captivating dance performance titled “Happy Diwali” illuminated the stage, followed by a delightful dance to “Do Re Mi.” An engaging play further enriched the afternoon’s performances.
One of the highlights was the chair dance, a dynamic and delightful choreography that enthralled the audience. This was followed by an inspiring skit performed by visually impaired students, conveying the powerful message that “Nothing is Impossible” and showcasing their resilience and determination. The event also featured a festive Christmas dance performance, adding to the diverse cultural representations of the occasion. It concluded with a ramp walk, where all the students, accompanied by their teachers, confidently walked the ramp, showcasing their individuality and strengths. The inclusive spirit of the LRC department was evident throughout the event, receiving heartfelt applause from the audience.
Following these performances, Chairman Mr. Vijay Dhar praised the hard work and dedication of the students and staff. His words were met with enthusiastic applause, reflecting the positive spirit of the celebration.
After the Chairman’s speech, the parents of the students took the stage to share their thoughts. They expressed immense pride and joy in seeing their children perform and commended the school and the LRC department for their continuous support and encouragement. The parents acknowledged how crucial this support has been for their children’s growth and development.
The Coordinator of the department, Ms. Munaza, then addressed the audience. She expressed her pride in the students’ achievements and extended her heartfelt thanks to the parents and staff for their unwavering support and encouragement. Her words highlighted the collective effort behind the event’s success.
