Overnight Camp
Delhi Public School,Srinagar organised an overnight camp at the Athwajan campus. The camp which lasted for one day and one night was attended by the students of Special Education unit of the school. The school has been organizing over night camps for a couple of years,as the end results of such camps are very impressive and do benefit students in executing their daily life tasks. Specially abled students were put through many tasks and games focused on intellectual and spiritual development. Among other things, students learned some tricks and tips of swimming,dancing,singing and taking care of belongings etc. The activities were held under the supervision of the mentors from Special Education Department. The camp started at 9:00 am of 9th September.
Camp aimed at making specially abled students recognize their strengths and face the difficulties in life on their own. This camp also focused at developing a sense of responsibility in students. Students were introduced to ways and techniques to improve and enhance their minds by doing yoga and other exercises early morning on the daily basis. The overnight camp was seen as a moment of joy and happiness by the students of the department. They learnt a great deal about the importance of living independently.
