Smart Bus Outing: A Blend of Learning, Exploration, and Fun
On 24th October 2024, the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) department of Delhi Public School organized a Smart Bus outing for the students, blending fun with educational activities. The students practiced counting seats, passengers, and calculating travel time, while also learning to add the ticket amounts in groups. They discussed important safety rules, such as keeping hands inside the bus, and observed traffic signals and road signs.
The outing included exploring the bus’s GPS system and fuel efficiency meter, sparking curiosity about smart technology and its environmental benefits. The students were reminded to keep the bus clean by not littering. Teachers accompanied the children and ensured a smooth and enjoyable learning experience throughout the trip.
The trip concluded with students reflecting on their journey and writing about their experiences, reinforcing the lessons learned throughout the day. Overall, the Smart Bus outing was a successful and engaging experience that broadened the students’ perspectives while fostering responsibility and curiosity.
