Spreading Awareness and Acceptance: DPS Srinagar Marks Down Syndrome Day

The LRC department at Delhi Public School marked Down Syndrome Day on 20th March,2025 with enthusiasm, spreading a powerful message of inclusion, acceptance, and awareness. Students participated by wearing yellow and blue outfits along with mismatched socks, symbolizing the beauty of diversity and the importance of embracing differences.

The event began with inspiring speeches by students, emphasizing the need for understanding and supporting individuals with Down syndrome. A specially designed display board was set up, featuring myths and facts to dispel misconceptions and educate the school community.

A heartfelt skit titled “We Should Help Each Other” was performed, reinforcing the values of kindness, empathy, and inclusivity. This was followed by a meaningful presentation where students held placards advocating for equal opportunities and acceptance for all.

To further highlight the talents and capabilities of individuals with Down syndrome, a special video was played throughout the school, showcasing their strengths and contributions.
