Captivating Annual Day Spectacle: Class 2 Students Shine on Stage

Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar, hosted a mesmerizing Annual Day celebration for its Class 2 students on August 5th. The event was presided by the Principal Ms. Shafaq Afshan, Ms. Radifa Academic In-charge, Junior wing, and the parents of the grade 2 students. The aim of the event was to develop the personality of children, help the students to build up their confidence and overcome the fear of the stage or expressing their views. The chosen theme was “Together we can change the world…” Students presented love, care, unity, diversity, and strength through different programs.

The Annual Day celebrations at DPS Srinagar are eagerly awaited events that provide students with a platform to showcase their skills and express their creativity. This year’s event for Class 2nd students was no exception, as the young talents took center stage with confidence and enthusiasm.

The event kicked off with a prayer by students of 2nd D followed by a welcome song featuring students of 2nd F dressed in costumes from various stories. As the show progressed, each class presented a unique performance such as Kashmiri song by 2nd G, group song by 2nd E. The young performers of 2nd B brilliantly performed a heart-touching song that mesmerized the audience. The theme of the event, ‘Together we can change the world…..’ was artistically represented by the students through dance, singing, and varied other items.

Furthermore, a delightful act was performed by the students of 2nd H, which showed the unity among all religions living in the world. The performance was admiringly appreciated by the principal and the audience. The students of section C performed an English song with actions that gave the audience a glimpse of love and oneness. Next the class 2nd I students performed a dance song that left everyone spell bound. While 2nd A graders performed on a remix song that was based on an informative topic, “say no to plastic”.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by the principal, wherein she appreciated the efforts put in by the students and teachers for making the event worth outstanding. The Annual Day was a true celebration of artistic expression. The students showcased their acting prowess, danced to foot-tapping tunes, and recited poems with unwavering confidence. The combination of colourful costumes, impressive stage designs, and lively choreography added to the enchantment of the evening.
