Earth Day Celebrations in Tiny Tots
Right from the beginning of the 2016 academic session ,the Tiny Tots wing has tried to ignite young minds to being ECO CONSCIOUS in subtle ways, reinforcing at each step how we can contribute to Mother Earth’s well being.
Be it the visit to Badamwari,to the recent sapling plantation drive to the I LOVE MOTHER EARTH event and today’s eco rally conducted in the school premises ,each event has made students realise that they too have a major part to play in taking care of the environment in the days to come.
By celebrating Earth Day today, we hope to give voice to an emerging consciousness, channeling human energy toward environmental issues in bigger ways.
And so it begins. Today. Right here and right now. Earth Day is more than just a single day — April 22, 2016. It’s bigger than attending a rally and taking a stand.
The aim of such activities is to make each student realise to be pro active .What are we waiting for? The time is now.Let’s start now. And let’s not stop.
Earth Day in Tiny Tots was earmarked by several events.Firstly, the assembly conducted by Class 1 students giving simple messages of not wasting electricity, water and planting more trees.
Secondly, the I LOVE MOTHER EARTH inter-class competition saw the judges delighted with the responses of youngsters who confidently answered age appropriate questions related to deforestation, benefits of trees, global warming etc.One youngster even gave the benefits of rain harvesting!
Class 1 students seriously informed the judge “Our earth is sick because we have made her sick because we are greedy and careless.”
Thirdly, Class 1 and 2 took out an ECO RALLY within the various areas of the school. The school resounded with their pleas to SAVE MOTHER EARTH.
Let’s hope the message of today, rings strong in each one of us to create a better, cleaner and safer world for our generation next.
