Class XII Parents Orientation Programme
The Orientation Program for the parents of Class XII was held on the morning of Saturday, 24th of February, 2018 in the Auditorium of +2 wing of DPS, Srinagar. Many parents turned to attend the program and they were briefed about the upcoming academic session. Arusa Rasool, the Academic Incharge started the program and detailed about the academics and the mandatory requisitions for the year. She threw light over the concerns like “Know your child”, Punctuality, Discipline, Bunking policy, Examination pattern, attendance, and Syllabus completion schemes.
Ms. Arusa’s presentation was followed by the presentation of Ms. Rufaidah Kirmani, the Activity Incharge for +2 wing. She briefly introduced the Sports and other activities that the students of class XII will be engaged in during the upcoming session. Her special focus was the Work-Experience Workshop which is mandatory for every student of XII Grade.
The next Presentation was given by Ms Syed Sumera. Ms Sumera detailed about the various Exchange programs that the students can avail during or after their Class XII. The parents responded enthusiastically and their queries regarding various Exchange programmes were answered by Ms Sumera. Ms Sumera’s presentation was followed by a brief speech by Anfaz, a Class XII student who recently returned from Japan after spending one year there. Anfaz shared his valuable experiences and memories with the audience during his AFS programme in Japan.
The programme was concluded by Ms Munazzah, the Counselor of the school for +2 wing. Ms Munazzah briefed about the various issues that students face in their day-to day lives and how parents and teachers can help them in solving these issues.
