Classes IX and X Orientation Establishes Academic Direction and Excellence

18-03-26

The Parent Orientation Sessions for Classes IX and X were held on 19th and 21st February 2026, with the purpose of acquainting parents with the academic structure and expectations for the forthcoming session.

The programme was conducted in two phases. In the first phase, a detailed outline of the academic framework was presented, covering the assessment pattern and the annual academic calendar. Parents were informed that performance in these years would have a direct bearing on subject eligibility and stream selection for Class XI. The requirement of a minimum of 75% attendance, in accordance with CBSE norms, was reiterated. Clear emphasis was also placed on discipline, with specific reference to student conduct and eligibility for leadership roles and school representation.

The second phase was held in classrooms, where parents met with class and subject teachers. The instructional plan was explained in detail, and academic expectations were clarified. This session also facilitated the verification of parent contact details to ensure smooth and timely communication.

During the interaction, parents of Class X students raised concerns regarding readiness for Board Examinations and appreciated the Monday Test initiative as a consistent means of assessment. The introduction of the Question Bank was also well received, as it offers structured practice across varied question formats. Suggestions were made regarding timely staff appointments to ensure continuity in teaching.

The sessions were marked by thoughtful engagement and constructive dialogue. Parents expressed confidence in the academic plan and affirmed their support for a structured and disciplined approach to the year ahead.
