The English department of the middle wing organized an activity ‘Dine and Dress’ on 18th May, 2017. The activity was for the ISA(International School Award), an initiative of the British Council. The activity was a grand affair where the students of class VIII showcased the cuisine and dress of Germany and China. The students were seen exhibiting a variety of dishes of the two countries. They not only exhibited these dishes but had also prepared all the dishes themselves. It was a delight to see students explaining about the various food items they had prepared, to their guests and offering every guest a bite from the mouth-watering food which lay in great array on their beautifully set tables. A group of students also walked the ramp wearing the traditional dresses of the two countries, thereby giving our audience a taste as well as the feel of Germany and China. The show witnessed a huge audience ranging from students of some classes to the teachers of all the different wings of the school including the administrative staff and our Vice-Principal. The show was also graced by the respected Principal, Mr. Bala Subhramanian Murali, who expressed delight to see the enthusiasm and dedication of the students and appreciated their efforts as well as of the organizing team for successfully conducting the activity. The activity was an enriching experience for the students to learn about the culture of two foreign countries like Germany and China and be acquainted with the food and dress of the people of these countries.
