DPS Srinagar Organises Snow Skiing Courses at Gulmarg
Delhi Public School, Srinagar organised a series of Snow Skiing Courses at Gulmarg from 31st January to 14th February 2026 for students from Class III onwards. The programme included Introductory Basic and Intermediate levels offering students structured training in skiing under expert supervision.
Across all courses students displayed commendable skill discipline and enthusiasm. In the Introductory Courses notable performances were recorded by Muaawiyah ibn Tafuseff (Class III) and Hadeel Sarah (Class IV) while Mohammad Zuhaan Kar (Class III) was recognised for discipline. The Basic Course saw Ayesha Zubair (Class V) and Ahmad Shafat (Class VI) secure top positions with strong performances by other participants. In the Intermediate Course Saira Khawar (Class VII) and Sheikh Mohammad Ibrahim (Class VIII) emerged as leading performers.
The programme was graced by distinguished guests including Col. J S Dillon Ex Principal IISM Gulmarg and Raja Umer KAS along with Syed Eyad Qadri KAS. The presence of noted professionals such as international skier Bhavani and officials from the Winter Games Association added value to the training experience.
The courses were conducted under the guidance of experienced instructors and supported by the school’s Sports and Medical staff ensuring safety and effective training throughout.
The initiative provided students with valuable exposure to winter sports while fostering confidence resilience and discipline and reflected the school’s continued commitment to holistic development.
