Enchanting Book Character Day Celebration at Delhi Public School, Srinagar
Delhi public School, Srinagar hosted a delightful and imaginative event – Book Character Day on 27th September 2023.The anticipation had been building for weeks, and when the day finally arrived, the students did not disappoint. The school was buzzing with excitement as students of all ages arrived dressed as their favorite book characters.
The school transformed into a world of literary wonder as students paraded down the hallways in an array of costumes, each one representing a beloved character from the pages of their favorite books. From wizards and witches to superheroes and classic storybook characters, the creativity and attention to detail in their costumes were truly impressive.
The highlight of the day was the grand ramp walk, where students confidently strutted their stuff, showcasing their incredible outfits. It was a sight to behold, as characters from different genres mingled and celebrated their shared love for literature.
But the festivities didn’t stop there. Students also had the opportunity to participate in various activities that celebrated the world of books. They took part in speaking activities, passionately sharing stories from their chosen books. The enthusiasm and articulation demonstrated by our young readers were inspiring.
In addition to speaking competitions, students engaged in creative activities, crafting book covers, charts, nameplates, bookmarks, and even dream catchers inspired by their favorite stories. These activities not only showcased their artistic talents but also encouraged them to delve deeper into the narratives they hold dear.
As the day drew to a close, it was evident that Book Character Day had been a resounding success. It was a day filled with laughter, learning, and the celebration of literature. Our students not only showcased their love for books but also demonstrated their creativity, confidence, and camaraderie.
