First of its kind Virtual PTM held by DPS Srinagar
In keeping with the current times, DPS Srinagar once again proved to be the trendsetter by holding the first virtual PTM in the valley. A significant majority of the parents attended the online PTM where threadbare discussions were held to manage the educational needs of the children affected by closure of schools. Various suggestions were received from parents which included regular holding of tests, stimulating homework, tracking mental health of students, ensuring those who have poor connectivity are not left behind and keeping track of students’ progress. Parents also appreciated the various activities and competitions their wards get to be part of even during these times.
Commenting on the virtual PTM, the principal Alastair A Freese said “The PTM proves that no hurdle is big enough to stop us from interacting with the parents, and ensure that the students don’t feel that the school has abandoned them during these hours of crisis.” The Chairman Vijay Dhar also congratulated the school on the achievement and said “I am happy that the current protocol of social distancing didn’t prevent us from being distant with parents. When the going gets tough, the tough don’t give up but get going”
