Grade 1 Parent Orientation: Fostering Theme-Based Learning for a Global Classroom Experience
Parent Orientation for grade 1 was conducted on March 5, 6, and 8, 2025, with two sections attending each day. The primary focus of these sessions was Theme-Based Learning, which emphasizes integrating various subjects rather than teaching them in isolation.
The theme for this academic term is “Around the World,” where students will engage in experimental learning by exploring nine different countries. English, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies (EVS) are interwoven into the theme, ensuring a holistic and engaging learning experience for students.
During the session, parents actively participated, sharing their concerns and suggestions, which were addressed by Ms. Shafaq, the Principal, and Ms. Radifa, the Academic Incharge. Their insights were valuable in refining the learning approach, ensuring it aligns with both students’ needs and parental expectations.
The session was a productive exchange of ideas, reinforcing the school’s commitment to interactive and meaningful learning experiences for Grade 1 students.
