High School conducts special assembly on Diwali
Class IX and X conducted a special assembly on the theme of Diwali on 24th of October’ 2017. The essence of the assembly was to generate awareness among the students regarding this major festival celebrated among the Hindu community. The commencing of the assembly was done by the Principal by lighting an oil lamp set beside/besides the stage. This assembly was organized by the students of class nine and ten. The first half of the assembly was taken care of solely by the students of class ten and was later handed over to the hosts of class nine with the assembly going on incorporating a nice blend of students from both the classes. A thought for the day was put forward. Next, a student of class ten enlightened us on the history of celebrating Diwali. A song was also performed by a group of students to instill a feeling of festivity and joy in the audience (students). Apart from this, a short play was also enacted by the Drama Savers’ Club of our school on the same.
