The orientation programme of LKG commenced with the welcome address by Ms. Surabhi Jamal, Incharge of Tiny Tots wing. She briefed the Parents about Early Childhood Education Programme laying stress on developing a positive self concept, good personal hygiene self confidence, physical and motor skills, thus slowly moving towards writing readiness in young learners. She further added that the early Child Education is an important stage of education of the children to address the developmental needs and requirements in the age group between 3 to 5 years. Children at this stage learn and assimilate rapidly and discover many things through experiencing directly. A child’s brain makes connections at this stage through an interactive and experiential environment which the school/home provide.  She also gave them the insight of different teaching methodology adopted in teaching various subjects (LEARNING BY DOING) in these classes, How lessons are taught through story telling, puppet shows and action stories to gear up enthusiasm in our students.She also threw light on the CCE pattern of curriculum, She talked about the various co-scholastic areas, summer camps held at school. She shared her experiences of US and talked about the education system in US. Ms. Radifa incharge (III & IV) discussed about, how mathematical concepts are taught in a realistic manner moving from concrete to symbolic presentation using different tools like  number string, shape kits, dice etc.

While addressing to the parents, Ms. Surabhi concluded saying that for the holistic development of a child we need to work in co-ordination with each other.
