Orientation of Class 5th
The orientation programme for the parents of class V was held on Saturday, 10 March, 2018 in the Audio Visual Room of Delhi Public School,Srinagar. Ms Monisa Khursheed, Academic In-charge started the program with the theme ‘KNOW YOUR CHILD’. She detailed the parents about the examination pattern along with the weightage, importance of maintaining notebooks and the parameters on which the child will be assessed in the session. She also emphasized on bridging the gap between the parent and the teacher. She requested the parents to be active on Campus Manager.
Ms Monisa’s presentation was followed by presentations by the subject coordinators, Ms Bisma Manzoor briefed the parents about the importance of language learning and the role of parents. She also detailed them about the activities that has been planned for the current session in order to develop the fervor of the language. She emphasized about the importance of the reading books.
The next presentation was delivered by Ms Masrat Khan, on behalf of Maths Faculty. She briefed the parents about the importance of the subject in our life and activities planned for the subject enrichment.
Masrat’s presentation was followed by presentation by the science coordinator, Ms Sabreena Majid. She supplied a detailed planner of the activities for the subject enrichment.
The next presentation was given by Uzma Rasool, Social Studies coordinator. She discussed about the importance of the subject and the activities planned for the session.
Ms Nazia Baqal, psychological counselor of the primary wing enlightened the parents about the quality time to be spent with children in order to rectify their behavioral problems. The next presentation was given by Ms Munazah. She briefed the parents about special education needs and remedial education.
The program was concluded by the Academic In-charge V-VI. She addressed all the queries raised by the parents.
