Orientation Programme Conducted for Grades 3 and 4

18-03-26

The Parent Orientation Programme for Grades 3 and 4 was conducted successfully on 23rd and 24th February 2026, providing parents with a clear understanding of the academic framework and expectations for the new session.

The orientation was held in two phases. In the first phase, parents were provided with an overview of the academic framework, including key aspects such as task analysis, the daily academic plan, the role of the question bank and the examination pattern for the year. Important guidelines related to school policies, the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) and student achievements were also shared to ensure clarity and alignment.

In the second phase, homeroom teachers interacted with parents in their respective classrooms and provided class-specific details. They elaborated on subject enrichment activities, multiple assessments, student portfolios and attendance policies. Detailed information regarding the examination structure, particularly cycle tests, was also discussed. Teachers further briefed parents on communication protocols and guidelines related to Annual Days, Sports Day and other school events to ensure smooth coordination throughout the year.

Parents appreciated the efforts of the school and teachers and actively participated in the discussion. Some concerns were raised, primarily regarding discipline in the school bus, and all queries were addressed clearly and satisfactorily.

The orientation offered parents an opportunity to interact personally with teachers at the beginning of the academic session, helping to build mutual understanding and confidence. It was equally beneficial for teachers as it enabled them to connect with parents and better understand their expectations.

Overall, the programme was conducted smoothly and proved to be a positive and productive experience for both parents and teachers, reinforcing the school’s commitment to collaboration and transparency.
