School organises Career Counseling Session with INTL’Malaysian University (IMU)

Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar organized a comprehensive career counseling session for its students in collaboration with INTL’Malaysian University, a leading institution offering courses in Medicine, Health, and Health Management. The primary objective of this session was to provide 11th and 12th-grade students with insights into the diverse academic programs offered by INTL’Malaysian University, its admission process, and the various career paths that students could pursue upon graduating from the university. The event aimed to empower students with information to make informed decisions about their higher education and future careers.

The career counseling session was a half-day event held at DPS Srinagar’s senior auditorium. The session was conducted by a team of experienced representatives from INTL’Malaysian University, led by Mr. Jie Han, the Assistant Director – Undergraduate Outreach. The session was divided into various segments, each focusing on different aspects of the university’s offerings.

The session commenced with a warm welcome by the organizers, followed by an introduction to INTL’Malaysian University’s vision, mission, and values. This segment aimed to familiarize the students with the university’s commitment to providing a well-rounded education in the fields of Medicine, Health, and Health Management.

Mr. Jie Han provided an in-depth overview of the various academic programs offered by the university. He highlighted the specialized nature of the courses, the focus on practical skills and hands-on training, and the emphasis on critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The presentation included details about undergraduate programs available.

Next,he  discussed the admissions process, including information about eligibility criteria, application procedures, important dates, and the selection process. The representative covered the significance of holistic evaluation, which goes beyond standardized test scores and includes essays, recommendations, and personal interviews.

The session also touched upon the availability of scholarships and financial aid for students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership potential, and a commitment to contributing to society. Mr. Jie Han explained the various scholarship options and the application process for obtaining financial assistance.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment, where students had the opportunity to ask specific questions and receive personalized advice. The event was well-received by the students, who appreciated the valuable information and guidance provided.
