On day-one, the event commenced with the recitation of the school prayer by a group of senior teachers, followed by a welcome speech which was given by the senior teacher, Mr. Sheikh Sajad.

After that, a comical skit was presented by the senior teachers poking fun at today’s age of social media which filled every heart with humour. The mesmerizing performance by the teachers aptly set the momentum for the other stage performances of the day. The brightly arranged affair was further enhanced by angelic voices of the teachers who sang a medley of popular songs to which the seniors cheered along.

Following were different performances that showcased the multiple talents of the students of class XII. The “Talent Show” by the Dipsites again proved that they are powerhouse of talent in any field as the performances unfolded itself on the stage.

The day-one ceremony culminated with a presentation of appreciation certificates to these students and a warm parting message from Vice Principal Shafaq Afshan ma’am. She addressed the audience, sharing her words of wisdom and wishing the students good luck and success for their future endeavors.

The festivities continued on day two for bidding adieu to the senior-most students of the school, as they gathered in the school in their marvelous traditional attires, gorgeous saris and debonair suits and hearts full of nostalgic memories.

To mark the beginning of the day two journey, the day started with the school prayer recitation, followed by a welcome speech. The festivities then kicked off with a Mashup singing performance by the musicians of class XI, who sang a string of popular songs and had everybody tapping along to the catchy scores. Following it was a delightful Bhangda dance that had the seniors tapping their feet to peppy songs.

A poem by a student of class XI poignantly portrayed the emotions of leaving school after a childhood spent in its loving portals. A round of games to entertain their seniors was organised by the students of class XI which included perplexing and incomprehensible magic tricks, truth & dare, and Musical Chairs.

Yet again, the audience welcomed dancers of Class XI and a wonderful performance commenced, including solos and duo dance performances. The performances by the dancers pepped up the mood and their efforts were appreciated by all.

Next, it was time for assigning the titles, which is perhaps the most exciting part of every farewell ceremony! The titles for best-dressed Male and female were announced and awarded the certificates.

In the last round of games to entertain the parting seniors, a special video presentation was played. This video included playing out of a medley of photographs of the years gone. Shrieks of excitement and clapping pierced the air as the beloved “faces of childhood” got spotted. A video depicting the long and rich journey of the outgoing class marked the end of the evening.

In nostalgia and reluctance, but with hope and aspiration, school, teachers and staff bid adieu to seniors and wished them luck for all they set out to do.
