Special assembly on Diwali
Diwali, The festival of lights that enlightens the hearts and brings joy to every heart, was celebrated at Delhi Public School, Srinagar on 25th October 2022 which was conducted by the students of grade 2. The Assembly Hall was decorated in vibrant hues, the school had an ambience of joy and happiness.
The programme began with a prayer highlighting the message of Diwali, invoking God’s blessings. A beautiful poem recited on the occasion of Diwali. Children were dressed up as various characters from the Ramayana that replicated Lord Rama’s reunion and return to Ayodhya after vanquishing Ravana in a battle, through a wonderful skit. The students showcased the preparations of Diwali through an act. The assembly concluded by the melodious song sung by the students. And the assembly ended with an overwhelming speech by our Principal Ms. Shafaq Afshan giving away the message of a clean, peaceful and a bright Diwali. The children went back to their classes and continued on with their joy.
