In a truly inspiring and interactive session, the girls of Grades VII and VIII at Delhi Public School, Srinagar, had the privilege of engaging with Ms. Rahmat Bi Makbul Nadaf, JKAS, Assistant Director, Tourism Kashmir. The session was thoughtfully organised to motivate our students to remain focused, determined, and true to themselves through every stage of life.

Ms Rahmat captivated the students by sharing her own remarkable life journey, including the significant challenges she overcame on her path to success. With diverse experiences, such as serving as a DSP in the Karnatka Police Department, her story was a powerful example of resilience. She encouraged the students to believe in their abilities, set clear goals, and stay dedicated to their studies.

Going beyond her own story, Ms Rahmat guided the students on practical life skills, like how to introduce themselves with confidence and embrace honesty as a key to personal growth. The session was highly interactive, and our students enthusiastically asked insightful questions. Ms Rahmat responded with warmth, sharing valuable advice and lessons from her childhood in Karnataka, which she noted played a vital role in shaping her values.

Principal, Ms Shafaq Afshan, expressed her gratitude: “We are so grateful to Ms Rahmat Nadaf for sharing her powerful story with our girls. It is vital for them to see strong, successful women who lead with integrity. Her message of self-belief and determination is exactly what our young students need to hear at this formative age.”

Chairman, Mr Vijay Dhar, added his thoughts: “This session was a wonderful initiative. Providing our students with access to such inspiring role models from our own civil services is a key part of their education. Ms Rahmat’s journey is a testament to the power of focus and hard work, and I am certain our students have taken that lesson to heart.”
