Class I and II was taken on a tour of different places of worship in Srinagar today on August 30th 2017. The purpose of the tour was to impress the theme ‘Unity in diversity’ and expose students to different forms of spiritual expression.

“Unity in Diversity”, were taken to different places of worship in Srinagar city on August 30, 2017. The children were really excited for the trip since this experience was altogether new for them. The calm and serene atmosphere of the places filled them with a renewed energy. The trip helped explore themes of worship, pilgrimage and sacred places, religion and symbols of religious expression.Besides the trip helped provide learning of heritage and history to kids. It was delightful to find students could easily identify the places of worship whether it be Chhatipadshahi, Hazratbal Shrine, Zeshtha Devi Temple, or Holy Christ Church.

The visit offered the teachers and students an opportunity to interact in an informal environment, mixing pleasure with instruction.Children learned that though different faiths have different religious places, yet every religion preaches harmony and love They also took a pledge to show respect towards the faiths of each other, and celebrate each other’s festivals with joy and fervor.
