World Earth Day & Eco Rally Observed

World Earth Day & Eco Rally Observed

27-04-15

World Earth Day was observed by Class I and II students on 22nd April 2015 where students took a pledge to save Mother Earth.

Students were given a fun activity sheet to color where the importance of saving trees, water, electricity and animals was highlighted.

The same sheet will be laminated and used in school as a table mat which will serve as a daily reminder to conserve and protect the same.

Creating environmental awareness has always been one of the major focal points of our school. As a part of the Earth week campaign  students of Tiny Tots participated in an eco-rally within school  as a part of` “I care for my environment” project to raise  awareness about global warming and different issues emerging out of environmental pollution.

Students were guided to prepare relevant banners with slogans like “Save water, Don’t cut trees, Don’t kill animals” etc and were asked to speak on the topic in class.

Children were charged  with excitement when they took out an Eco Rally 01 May 2015 where they carried their placards with important messages on conservation of water, electricity,  trees, animals and raised slogans reinforcing the same.

Not to be left behind, LKG and UKG students prepared badges on the theme of save mother earth.

It is hoped that students are sensitized early in life to take care of the environment.
