Faizan plays Rugby in Pakistan
Faizan Nazir, a class 12 student of DPS Srinagar, represented India in the Under-19 Asian Rugby tournament held from October 2 to 5 in Pakistan.
Faizan was part of Indian Rugby team which participated in the Asian tournament. Before going on Pakistan trip, Faizan had participated in the 20 day national camp held at Kolkata. Indian team reached the final of the tournament. Apart from Host Pakistan and India, Uzbekistan and Afghanistan also took part in the event.
In semi-final of the event, Pakistan defeated Afghanistan while India got walkover against Uzbekistan. In final Pakistan defeated India by 13-11 and lifted the title.
