DPS students participate in Khelo India National Basketball
Four girls from our school, namely Hadiqa Tariq (X-C), Nureen Shah (X-G), Tanzeela Bashir (X-D) and Hadiya Tariq (VII-A) participated in Khelo India Basketball Nationals held at Telangana, Hyderabad. While the first three girls were a part of Under 17 team of the state of Jammu and Kashmir, Hadiya participated in the Under 14 category. The sports event was held from 11 February to 16 February, 2017. It was the fourth time that Hadiqa Tariq and Nureen Shah represented their state at a national level while as for the other two girls it was their first national participation. The Under-17 team played 2 matches, first against Telangana and the second against Haryana, where in all three players of our school contributed beautifully for the team by scoring points. Both the Under 17 and Under 14 teams of our state reached till quarter finals.
