DIPSITES attend CDL summit to celebrate Diversity for Unity
Modern School, Barakhamba Road organized the 8th Community Development and Leadership Summit – 2013 on “CELEBRATING DIVERSITY FOR UNITY” from Saturday, the 9th of November to Sunday, the 17th of November 2013. Haaika Galib and Zainab Malik of grade XI, Illahay Jalali and Khadijah Jalid of grade IX were the fortunate four to participate in this Summit with a teacher, Ms.Sumera Syed. Schools from approximately 350 delegates from Twenty three countries including Australia, Bangladesh, Canada, China, Costa Rica, Germany, Hong Kong, France, India, Indonesia, Italy, Kenya, Korea, Laos, Malaysia, Mexico, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, Sweden, Thailand, U.A.E., UK, U.S.A. and Vietnam had participated. The students met some of the most eminent personalities including Mr. Pranab Mukherjee and Mr. Manish Tiwari. They also participated in discussions and debates on National and International issues. Our students represented the state during the exhibition and cultural show. It was an enriching experience for these young children.
