School wins friendly cricket match against Green Valley Educational Institute
The school emerged as a winner by a narrow margin of seven runs in a tightly fought friendly cricket match with Green Valley Educational Institute. The match was held on 6th June in the school playground. Batting first in bowler friendly conditions, DPS posted a target of 131 runs in the allotted twenty overs. Ruvail Baba top scored with 33 Runs and Wasalat provided him stellar support with a crucial 19. Sameer shared the bowling honours with a spell of 3/25. The bowlers did a splendid job with the defense, and despite a stiff resistance from the batsmen bowled the opposing team for 124 runs in the last over of the match. Huraeir emerged as the highest scorer with 41 Runs while Afaan and Basit with 2 wickets each shared the bowling honours for DPS.
