DPS Srinagar Student Muqadus Ishrat Receives Prestigious Emily Dickinson Award for Her Book “Zawal”
DPS Srinagar is delighted to announce the remarkable achievement of one of its outstanding students, Muqadus Ishrat, who has been awarded the prestigious Emily Dickinson Award for her exceptional book, “Zawal.” The award recognizes Muqadas’ exceptional talent and her significant contribution to the literary world.
“Zawal” is a captivating literary masterpiece that showcases Muqadus’ profound understanding of human emotions and her ability to beautifully articulate them through her writing. The book, comprising 21 poems, was published in August by Book Leaf Publishing after Muqadus penned down her verses during the months of June and July. Muqadus’ unique perspective has resonated with readers of all ages, making “Zawal” a truly remarkable literary achievement.
The Emily Dickinson Award is a highly esteemed recognition in the literary community, honoring young authors who demonstrate exceptional creativity, originality, and literary prowess. Named after the renowned American poet Emily Dickinson, the award aims to inspire and celebrate young writers who possess the potential to make a lasting impact in the world of literature.
