Enchanting Garden: Celebrating Growth and Expression – Annual Day for UKG
On the 4th of October 2024, Delhi Public School, Srinagar organised its Annual Day program for the students of Grade UKG. The event took place in the school’s indoor stadium, starting at 2:30 pm and concluding at 5:00 pm. It was attended by the Principal, Ms. Shafaq Afshan, the Academic In-charge of the Junior Wing, Ms. Radifa, other in-charges, and the parents of the students who were the esteemed guests.
The primary aim of the event was to develop the students’ personalities, boost their confidence, and help them overcome stage fear while expressing themselves. The chosen theme for the day was “Enchanting Garden”which the students represented beautifully through various performances.
The program began with a prayer by the students of class UKG, followed by a welcome song. Each section participated actively, with performances ranging from dances to songs, all aligning with the theme.
One of the highlights of the event was the performance by the students of UKG ‘A’ which captivated the audience by its strong message of deforestation and its consequences.
Each performance was both entertaining and educational, leaving a lasting impression on the audience.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks from the Principal, who praised the efforts of the students and teachers for making the Annual Day a grand success.
