DPS Srinagar Shines with Third-Place Finish and Best Midfield Award at Inter-DPS Football Tournament
Delhi Public School (DPS) Srinagar recently made waves in the Inter-DPS Football Tournament for Boys (Open Zone-1), securing an impressive third-place finish. Held at DPS Faridabad from October 1 to 3, 2024, the tournament saw DPS Srinagar’s football team showcase exceptional teamwork and strategy against 14 other teams.
The team dominated the group stage, emerging as leaders after defeating all their opponents, with key players Siyam, Labeen, and Zaid playing crucial roles. One of the youngest players, Mohammad Eisa from Class 9, stole the spotlight with his brilliant performance, earning him the prestigious Best Midfield Player of the Tournament award.
DPS Srinagar’s journey to the semi-finals was marked by notable victories over DPS Baramulla, DPS Jammu, and DPS Sangrur, demonstrating their hard work and resilience.
This achievement is not an isolated incident, as DPS Srinagar has a history of excellence in football. They previously won the Inter-DPS Football National Championship in 2023, defeating DPS Vasant Kunj 4-2 in penalties.
