Autumn Hues: A Grand Cultural Extravaganza
On October 25, 2024, Delhi Public School Srinagar buzzed with creativity, laughter, and music as the Student Council organized ‘The Autumn Hues’,a cultural festival unlike any other. Designed to break away from traditional formats and the structured monotony of routine events, The Autumn Hues was a celebration of spontaneity, self-expression, and the vibrant talents of the DPS Srinagar community.
The whole campus transformed into a hub of artistic and cultural activities. The day offered students the freedom to immerse themselves in a variety of entertaining experiences. The venue was a treasure of activity, with every corner of the campus buzzing with excitement and creative energy.
Under the swimming pool area, the Doodle Wall invited students to unleash their imaginations. Various art forms like sketches and caricatures soon turned the wall into a masterpiece of creativity. The students were excited as they let their imaginations run wild and exhibited different art forms.
The School Indoor Stadium resonated with the rhythm of dance as students performed a range of styles, from traditional to contemporary. The energy was infectious, and the audience could not help but tap their feet to the vibrant beats.
In the Senior Auditorium budding comedians took the stage for stand-up comedy performances. Their wit and humour kept the audience in splits, creating a relaxed and joyful atmosphere.
Meanwhile, the School Ground was alive with soulful music performances. Students showcased their vocal and instrumental talents through mesmerizing performances that captivated every listener.
Adding to the excitement were the Spontaneous Theatre Performances, which popped up at different spots around the campus. These acts brought drama, humour, and storytelling to life, keeping the audience engaged and entertained.
The face-painting station, set up under the open sky, became a hub of colour and imagination. Students lined up to have their faces transformed into vibrant works of art. The activity was an incredible way for students to express their individuality and immerse themselves in the festive spirit.
Nearby, the photo booth was the perfect spot to capture the memories of the day. Decorated with quirky props, colourful backdrops, and a touch of autumn-inspired charm, the booth was a magnet for students eager to freeze the joy of the moment. From group photos with friends to solo shots showcasing their painted faces, the booth captured countless smiles and playful poses. It wasn’t just a place for photos but a space where laughter and camaraderie took centre stage.
